My name is Amy Cussell Smith, and I am the proud Headteacher of Harrowby Church of England Primary School. It is a privilege to lead such a warm, caring and ambitious school where we hold high expectations for every child. We are committed to recognising, celebrating and nurturing each child’s unique strengths, while providing an excellent academic, social, emotional and physical education.

Inspired by St Peter and the early Christian community, we hold a vision of working hand in hand for the flourishing of all. St Peter’s journey – one of courage, growth, faith and service – reminds us that every person has the potential to learn, to develop and to flourish. His example encourages us to build a school shaped by hope, empathy, aspiration, respect and trust, ensuring that these values guide the way we learn and grow together.

We are proud to be a small school at the heart of our community, where strong relationships and a deep sense of community shape everything we do. Harrowby is a place where every family feels supported, and every child is known. We know that when families thrive, children thrive – and this sits alongside our dedication to creating a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, secure and ready to learn.
